Stop losing creators after gifting

Gifting is the beginning of a relationship with an influencer, but most brands treat it like the end.

Take note: This post-gifting black hole is killing your creator program momentum.

But don’t worry, we’re diving into the post-gifting strategies that separate winning programs from wasted budgets, your Black Friday / Cyber Monday prep, plus our latest success stories at Superfiliate!

Here is Molly Cole, Influencer Marketing Manager at Epic Gardening, talking about the metrics to measure success beyond revenue:

🚀 On the rise:

No More Ghosting Your Creators

Mega creators are trading massive flat fees for company shares—and it's genius. Alix Earle with Poppi, Grant Hovart's exclusive deal with Primo Golf including creative positions. The smartest creators are betting on brands they believe in long-term.

You spent weeks sourcing, vetting, and shipping, then went radio silent after the tracking number hit “delivered”? That’s influencer malpractice. The brands who win are the ones who keep the conversation alive:

  • Strategic check-ins focused on product experience, not delivery confirmation

  • Content amplification through authentic engagement on creator posts

  • Pipeline nurturing by introducing next opportunities before current campaigns end

  • Feedback loops that make creators feel like genuine partners.

Tip: You’re not mailing a product; you’re building a partner. Keep in mind what these creators are doing in exchange for you! Is it gifting or commission only? Don’t just ask them if it got delivered (you have the tracking number, you can check yourself). Ask if they loved the product or had any questions.

BFCM Prep: We’re not falling behind this year!

“We need to start prepping for Black Friday / Cyber Monday.”

Ahh yes, every marketer’s dreaded sentence each year. If you haven’t started thinking about strategy for “The Big One”, be sure to align with your team ASAP to lock in partnerships before your favorite creators’ calendars fill up! Even if your discounts and fine details aren’t nailed down, you need to start talking dates and pricing with creators (if you haven’t already).

I know it feels early (heck, I’m trying to enjoy the last bits of Summer while walking down Halloween and Pumpkin Spice is popping up in the isles) but top brands already have their partnerships nailed down for November.

So, it’s time to get moving!

👎 Phasing out:

One-and-done creator posts

Dropping a single sponsored post and calling it a campaign? That’s dead. If you’re not building multi-touch narratives with creators over weeks or months, you’re renting attention instead of owning it. This is a sales pipeline that needs to be nurtured!
